Install Momentum: Why I'm Building a Self-Running Personal Growth System in Public

Momentum doesn’t come from motivation. It comes from systems.
For most of my adult life, I’ve tried to build momentum the hard way.
I've set New Years Resolutions. I've set goals...
Slowly, friction always wins.
Not because I don’t care.
Not because I lack discipline.
Modern life is noisy, fragmented, and full of open loops.
I don't need more goals. I need momentum that doesn't disappear after a few days.
So this March, I’m doing something different.
I’m going to build a self-running personal growth system using WordPress — in public — a little bit each day.
I’m calling this system:
The LifeAwesome OS
An operating system designed to build daily momentum automatically.
The Problem: Momentum Shouldn’t Be This Fragile
Most personal growth advice focuses on intensity.
Wake up earlier.
Push harder.
Be more disciplined.
But momentum isn’t about intensity.
It’s about repeatability.
When your progress depends on motivation, you start over a lot.
When it depends on systems, it compounds.
I don’t want another motivational sprint.
I want a structure that works even when I’m tired, distracted, or busy.
Here's the Gist: What If Momentum Could Be Installed?
Instead of trying to “be better,” what if we:
- Reduced friction
- Removed decision fatigue
- Set Automated reminders
- Defined one meaningful action per day
- Tracked visible progress
- Built weekly reset rituals
What if momentum wasn’t something you chased…
What if it was something you installed?
That’s what the LifeAwesome OS is meant to explore.
Yeah, I know.. this is really nerdy. But how cool at the same time?
Here's What I’m Building
Over the next 30 days, I’ll be building:
- A 30-day automated daily action system
- A simple progress tracking structure
- Weekly reflection prompts
- A momentum dashboard
- Automated email delivery
- A completion ritual
- And eventually, a Pro layer with deeper tools
Each day, I’ll introduce one new component to the system.
Not theory.
Not productivity hacks.
Actual infrastructure.
Small systems that stack.
By the way, I'll be spending no more than 30 minutes each day working on this, so follow along with me as I build.
The Transformation
The primary promise is simple:
Build daily momentum.
But the downstream effects matter just as much:
- Reduce overwhelm
- Increase clarity
- Rebuild self-trust
- Increase self-assurance through evidence
Because confidence doesn’t come from positive thinking.
It comes from repeated proof.
And repeated proof comes from momentum.
Why Build It in Public?
Two reasons.
First, accountability. If I say I’m building it, I build it.
Second, transparency.
You’ll see what works.
What breaks.
What gets automated.
What’s surprisingly powerful.
By the end of March, LifeAwesome OS won’t just be an idea.
It will be a functioning, evergreen system that anyone can "install".
Who This Is For
This is for you if:
- You’re tired of starting over
- You feel capable but scattered
- You want progress without burnout
- You want structure without rigidity
- You want self-assurance that’s earned, not forced
This isn’t about becoming extreme.
It’s about becoming steady.
What Happens Next
Day 1 begins with friction.
Before we add automation, we remove what’s slowing you down.
Every day after that, we’ll stack something new.
By the end of the month, you won’t just understand momentum.
You’ll have it.
Installed.
