Designing a life that actually works in real life.
Hi, I'm Dan. I'm a husband, dad, builder, and long-time tech guy who's obsessed with making life feel more intentional, more creative, and a little less chaotic.
LifeAwesome is where I share the systems, stories, and experiments that help me do that—and hopefully help you do the same.

I've spent more than two decades in the tech world—building products, leading teams, and helping people learn new skills.
Along the way, I also became a husband, a dad, a runner, an entrepreneur, and a guy who's constantly trying to design a life that feels meaningful instead of just busy.
I've seen both sides:
Seasons where life felt heavy, scattered, and reactive.
And seasons where small systems, clear priorities, and honest self-reflection made everything feel lighter.
LifeAwesome is my way of collecting what I've learned (and what I'm still learning) about building a life that works on purpose—not by accident.
LifeAwesome is an experiment in living on purpose.
This isn't a "10 hacks to change your life overnight" kind of place.
Instead, LifeAwesome is built around five simple ideas:
Self-assurance matters.
When you feel grounded and capable, everything else gets easier—from parenting to making money to having hard conversations.
Systems beat willpower.
Routines, checklists, and simple automations can carry you when motivation dips.
Creativity is not optional.
Building things—businesses, projects, art, ideas—is one of the fastest ways to feel alive and free.
Family and adventure are the point.
The trips, the inside jokes, the late-night talks, the soccer games, the small traditions—that's the good stuff.
Tools and tech should make life lighter.
I love AI, apps, and automations—but only when they reduce friction instead of adding noise.
Everything on this site fits somewhere inside that philosophy.
The Framework
The four pillars of a LifeAwesome
Most of what I share on LifeAwesome falls into one of these four pillars:
Self-Assurance & Personal Growth
Stories, frameworks, and practices to help you feel more confident, more rooted, and more "you"—especially if you grew up without a strong sense of self.
Creativity, Entrepreneurship & Freedom
Behind-the-scenes of building projects, experimenting with business ideas, and using tech to create more freedom in your work and finances.
Family, Adventure & Meaningful Living
Trip recaps, traditions, bucket-list ideas, and simple ways to make everyday life feel more connected and memorable.
Tools, Tech & Life Optimization
The apps, automations, and gear that actually help—from AI workflows to planning tools to the stuff that makes parenting, travel, and work smoother.
What you can expect from LifeAwesome

A Bit of My Backstory
I grew up learning what it felt like to not always feel self-assured—and I've spent a lot of my adult life rebuilding that from the inside out.
I've worked in tech and software for over 20 years, from building products to helping thousands of people learn new skills online.
I've started businesses and side projects, some that worked and some that very much didn't.
I've driven a lot of miles with my family—road trips, beach days, national parks, soccer tournaments—and realized how much I love designing experiences and traditions.
I've become increasingly obsessed with small, sustainable systems: routines, checklists, automations, and reflection practices that make life easier to carry.
LifeAwesome pulls all of that together.

Where’s this is all headed?
My goal isn't to be a lifestyle "influencer."
My goal is to build a library of systems, stories, and tools that:
help my own family thrive
help other people feel more self-assured and less alone
and maybe inspire you to design your own version of a "life awesome."
Over time, this will include:
- • The LifeAwesome Starter Kit (free)
- • Deep-dive articles and guides
- • Automation workflows you can plug into your life
- • Tool and gear recommendations
- • Eventually, more resources around self-assurance, family traditions, and life design
Want to build an Awesome Life with me?
If any of this resonates, I’d love to stay connected.
The best way to do that is to grab the free LifeAwesome Starter Kit and hop on the email list. I'll send you one idea or experiment at a time—no spam, no pressure to "optimize" everything.
Just small, honest steps toward a life that feels a little more awesome.
